Spanish SEO services, done by someone who actually speaks Spanish

Most "Spanish SEO" is a translated English strategy with the words swapped. That's not how you rank in Spain — and it's often how sites end up penalized.

If your business wants to rank in the Spanish market, or you run a multilingual site with an English and a Spanish version, you've probably run into the same problem: agencies that translate your English SEO strategy and call it "Spanish SEO." Wrong keyword volume, wrong search intent, and sometimes real technical mistakes with hreflang that get both versions penalized instead of helping either one.

I'm Adrián Rubio, based in Madrid, native Spanish speaker, and I do SEO for both languages directly — not through translation. That means real keyword research in Spanish (not translated English keywords), content that reads naturally to a Spanish searcher, and a technical setup that keeps your English and Spanish sites working together instead of competing with each other.

Why Spain is different: language, regions and search habits

Keyword volume doesn't translate 1:1

The exact phrase a Spanish searcher uses is often completely different from a literal translation of your English keyword.

Search intent differs by market

The same product or service can be searched with different urgency, comparison behavior, or local context in Spain vs. an English-speaking market.

Bad hreflang implementation causes real penalties

I've seen sites lose rankings in both languages because of incorrect hreflang tags — a mistake generic agencies make constantly.

Native content reads differently

Google — and readers — can tell the difference between content written for Spanish speakers and content translated into Spanish.

Frequently asked questions

Do you translate my existing English content into Spanish?

I can, but the better approach is usually writing Spanish content from scratch based on real Spanish keyword research — a direct translation rarely ranks as well as native content built around actual search intent.

How much does SEO in Spain cost?

My SEO starts from €350/month, with no long-term lock-in. The final price depends on the size of your site and how competitive your market is, and I give you a fixed quote after a first review of your setup.

How long does it take to rank on Google.es?

It depends on competition, the age of your site and its current state, so I won't promise a date or a first-place position. Expect movement over months rather than days, and I'll tell you what is realistic once I've looked at your site.

Do I need a .es domain?

Not strictly. A .es domain is a clear signal for Spain, but a .com with correct hreflang and genuinely Spanish content, for example in an / folder, can also work. Which one fits depends on your setup, and it's part of what I review.

Spanish from Spain or Latin American Spanish?

I research and write in Castilian Spanish from Spain, for people searching on Google.es. Latin American markets use different words and search habits and need their own research; if that's what you need, I'll tell you honestly whether it's my strong point.

Do you cover Catalan, Basque or Galician?

My work is in Castilian Spanish. If your project needs Catalan, Basque or Galician content, tell me what you have in mind and I'll say honestly whether I can cover it or whether you'd be better served by a native specialist in that language.

Can you audit my current hreflang setup?

Yes. I check that every page points to its equivalent in the other language, that the tags are reciprocal and consistent with your canonicals, and I give you a list of what to fix. Incorrect hreflang is one of the most frequent causes of one language version cannibalizing the other.

Do you only work with businesses based in Spain?

No — I work with businesses anywhere that want to rank in the Spanish market or for Spanish-speaking audiences, remotely.

How is this different from your regular SEO service?

Same core service, but with native Spanish keyword research, content and technical multilingual setup — the parts that generic international SEO agencies usually get wrong.
